RFD Transfer Services
An RFD transfer might be necessary if you live too far away to come and collect a rifle, or you are purchasing a rifle from elsewhere and would like to collect it from us.
Any authorised gun dealer in the nation may receive firearms from us, and we are also able to send firearms to other dealers.

Insured Firearm Storage
At McMillan Engineering - Firearms Division we offer firearm storage at competitive rates. Firearms can be stored for long-term or short-term storage. Collection can be made during regular business hours, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. Please arrange an appointment 48 hours before you plan to collect. If you wish to collect outside of regular business hours, a further fee of £25 will be applied.
Plan 1:
£20 per month up to the value of £3500, thereafter £5 per gun per week.
Plan 2:
£30 per month up to the value of £7500, thereafter £7.50 per gun per week.
Plan 3:
£40 per month up to the value of £50,000, thereafter £10 per gun per week.
All plans include:
Cleaning and oiling on arrival.
Insurance against accidental damage, fire and theft while your guns are in our care.
If you are unsure of the value of your firearm, please contact us. We are happy to provide a storage quote for firearms over the value of £50,000 as required.
Terms and Conditions:
A valid shotgun certificate or firearm certificate is required to enter your firearms into storage.
Firearms will not be reissued from storage unless a valid shotgun certificate or firearm certificate is provided at collection.
Guns with more than 3 months outstanding storage fees will be sold without further recourse to the owners. The proceeds from any such sales will be retained by McMillan Engineering.
Dry Storage for Ammunitions and Powders
A flat fee of £20 applies to store centerfire or rimfire ammunition for up to one year.
